Ozone News
While Ozone and Hydroxyl treatments can be very effective at killing many types of bacteria and viruses, the Ozone Experts do not necessarily share the view of claims in the news that indicate ozone and UV lights are effective at killing the Coronavirus. The validity of these claims must be tested and retested to ensure accuracy. Further, Ozone in high levels is not considered safe for use in occupied areas and should be used in accordance with manufacturers instruction in unoccupied areas only allowing ample time for the ozone to dissipate before re-entering the treated area.
The Ozone Experts share and support the EPA's statement on this subject as follows: The claim “Kills SARS-CoV-2” may be true and not misleading where a device has been tested against the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. “SARS-CoV-2” refers to a virus. “COVID-19” refers to a disease and diseases cannot be “killed.” Therefore, the claim “Kills COVID-19” is always considered false and misleading.
Education is the key to proper use of ozone and hydroxyl technology. As new articles become available we will share them with “Ozone in the News.” For more information on the safe use of this technology please call us directly at 866.676.9663.
